Epoxy tix paste is specially developed for bonding various substrates. This epoxy-based paste is characterized by excellent adhesion and minimal shrinkage. Thanks to its tixotropic (highly viscous) properties, the paste can be applied in thick layers without sagging. In addition, the paste is resistant to long-term exposure to water and many chemical substances.
Applications
Among other things, the paste is suitable for bonding teak to a yacht, attaching a bow thruster tube to a ship’s hull, or making fillet joints between different materials. The epoxy tix paste adheres excellently to:
- Steel
- Aluminum
- Stone
- Concrete
- Wood
- Polyester
- Epoxy
User Manual
Make the surface grease-free and sand it. Remove loose dirt such as rust, paint or rotten wood. Mix the resin (component A) and the hardener (component B) in a 2:1 weight ratio on a mixing board. Stir both components thoroughly until an even color develops. At room temperature, the processing time is approximately 27 minutes. This time may vary depending on the ambient temperature and the quantity prepared. Higher temperatures or larger quantities will shorten the processing time.
