Owatrol Rustol C.I.P. Antirust Primer

RUSTOL C.I.P. (Corrosive Inhibiting Primer) is an anti-corrosion primer that is overcoatable with virtually all paint systems. Developed for use in demanding conditions.

Features

• Universal primer that does not dissolve and provides excellent adhesion of follow-on finishes.
• Suitable for both new and rusted surfaces, indoors and outdoors.
• Penetrates deep into the substrate and passivates the metal for long-term protection; provides strong insulation and adhesion.
• Contains active pigments and forms a protective film for added durability.
• User-friendly: sandblasting is not necessary.
• Heat resistant to 175°C.

Applications

• Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
• Ideal for extreme conditions such as maritime or tropical climates, corrosive fumes, vehicles, construction machinery and ship ballast tanks.
• Particularly recommended as a primer for two-component paints or solvent-rich coatings such as urethane, epoxy, chlorinated rubber and automotive paints.
