The glossy, solvent-free two-component Flow Resin Chemical Resistant Floor Coating is a color-available final coat that provides a clean finished floor with excellent chemical resistance. This epoxy resin coating provides protection against aggressive liquids and is suitable for light to medium loads. For heavier applications, the Flow Resin EP Cast Flooring Industry can be applied, with this coating serving as a topcoat for additional chemical resistance and mechanical load-bearing capacity.

Applications

Suitable as a colored finishing coat for such things as:

  • Cleanrooms
  • Flush kitchens (with non-slip finish)
  • Storage areas with salt use
  • Garages and workshops with oil use
  • Loading platforms
  • Laboratories
  • Feed chutes in livestock production
  • Areas with dilute acids
  • Topcoat on Flow Resin EP Cast Flooring Industry

Technical specifications

  • Glossy finish
  • Seamless and liquid-proof
  • Simple application
  • Wear-resistant, optional with non-slip grain
  • Solvent-free
  • Easy to clean
  • Good covering power
  • Mechanically loadable after curing
  • Excellent chemical resistance

Consumption

Consumption depends on the structure of the substrate, color and application method. For a flat substrate and dark color, consumption is approximately 250 g/m². With an uneven substrate and light color, this can increase to approximately 350 g/m². The addition of anti-slip increases consumption by approximately 50 g/m².

Preparation of the substrate

The substrate should first be treated with a Flow Resin Epoxy Primer. Apply the coating between 16 and 36 hours after priming for optimum adhesion. Once the primer has fully cured, the floor should be sanded, cleaned and degreased before application.

Increased mechanical load

For areas with heavy point loads (such as falling tools), the load-bearing capacity can be increased by sanding in the Flow Resin Epoxy Primer, sanding, dusting and then applying the coating. This improves grip and adhesion.

Special applications – lineation and anti-slip

For a safe and efficient work area, Flow Resin Epoxy Line Paint is ideal. Use masking tape to apply lines accurately. For non-slip finish, Flow Resin Anti-slip for Epoxy can be added.

Manual and processing tips

Refer to the product data sheet for technical data and processing instructions. The Flow Resin Manual for Epoxy Floor Coating provides complete system advice for optimal end results.
