IJmopox HB Coating is a high solid, two component intermediate or finishing coat based on epoxy and polyamide hardener, suitable for general purpose applications.
Main features and applications
- Low in solvents
- Contains zinc phosphate as an anti-corrosion pigment
- Suitable for properly pretreated steel, aluminum, wood, polyester, etc.
- Provides protection against corrosion (steel) and osmosis (polyester)
- Ideal for osmosis repair and prevention in polyester
- Cures on outdoor exposure, but remains repaintable with two-component and conventional paints even after prolonged exposure
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Processable and curing at temperatures from 5 °C and relative humidity up to 80%
- Resistant to various chemicals and (salt) water
- Directly paintable with most types of antifouling
- Easy to apply by brush, air sprayer or airless sprayer
- For sufficient protection with brush application, 4 to 5 coats are recommended
Pretreatment: treat steel and aluminum first with IJmopox ZF Primer; treat wood with Variopox Injection Resin.
