Moldex EasyLock® gas filters with bayonet connection are easy to attach to Series 7000 and 9000 mask bodies. Thanks to the additional bayonet connection on the filters, they can be combined with EasyLock® dust filters without an adapter.
Coding of gas filters
Moldex gas filters come with a code, such as “A2B2E1,” consisting of letters and numbers.
The letters indicate the type of gas the filter protects against.
The numbers indicate the filter class, which represents the absorbency. The higher the number, the better the protection at higher gas concentrations.
Example: A2B2E1 provides combined protection against organic gases (boiling point > 65°C), inorganic gases and acid gases, each with their specific level of protection.
Filter type A
- Color code: brown
- Protection against: organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65 °C
Filter type B
- Color code: gray
- Protection against: inorganic gases and vapors such as chlorine, hydrogen sulfide and hydrogen cyanide; not against carbon monoxide
Filter type E
- Color code: yellow
- Protection against: sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and other acid gases
Filter type K
- Color code: green
- Protection against: ammonia and organic ammonia compounds
Filter type AX
- Color code: brown
- Protection against: low boiling point organic substances (≤ 65 °C, group 1 and 2)
- Note: limited suitability for low-boiling substances; filters are intended for single use (according to DGUV Rule 112-190)
