Application

• As an additive to improve the mechanical and adhesive properties of cement mixtures for screeds, plasters and thin leveling layers.

• Bonding mortar based on Mapecem or Topcem for improved adhesion of cement screeds with the same binder type.
• Lap mortar for adhesive plasters.
• Cement mortars for filling holes, repairing damaged parts and finishing concrete structures and precast elements.
• Cement mortars for finishing heavy-duty surfaces (such as industrial floors, platforms, ducts) and repairing floor boards affected by wear.

Technical properties

Planicrete is a stable aqueous dispersion of a special synthetic elastomer based on SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), resistant to alkaline saponification and with a low glass transition temperature. The elastomer remains stable with aging thanks to highly interwoven chemical bonds between the polymer chains, which become parallel when deformed, giving high elasticity. Planicrete is a white, highly liquid latex that, when added to cement mixtures, significantly improves adhesion, plasticity, thixotropicity, water retention and workability. After bonding and curing, cement mixes containing Planicrete possess the following properties:

• Improved adhesion to the substrate;
• Higher compressive and flexural strength;
• Increased abrasion resistance;
• Better waterproofing;
• Greater resistance to frost-thaw cycles;
• Improved resistance to dilute acids, salt solutions and oils.
