Application

Silancolor Paint Plus is intended for painting walls that are particularly susceptible to attack by algae and mold. The paint provides long-term protection thanks to its water-repellent and breathable properties, providing the substrate with lasting protection against microorganisms.

Examples of applications:

• Painting of facades affected by algae and mold.
• Painting north-facing facades prone to moisture and mold growth.
• Painting indoor areas with mold problems, such as bathrooms and kitchens with cold spots.

Technical properties

• Silancolor Paint Plus is highly resistant to algae and mold growth. It can be applied both curatively and preventively, provided the substrate has been thoroughly cleaned beforehand.
• Based on silicone resin in aqueous dispersion, the paint forms a breathable, porous film that repels water and prevents moisture from penetrating.
• Thanks to the synergistic action of the special ingredients, all conditions that promote microorganisms are eliminated, ensuring excellent façade protection.
• Contains an algae and fungicide.
• In combination with Silancolor Primer Plus and possibly Silancolor Cleaner Plus, it forms a complete protection system.
• Adheres well to traditional plaster, dehumidifying plaster and existing well adhering paintwork. Provides protection against chemical attack, contamination, rain washout and abrasion.
• Excellent resistance to alkalis, cleaning, UV radiation and aging, with long-term retention of properties.
• Gives a smooth, matte and velvety finish. Available in many colors through the ColorMap® system.

Important

• Do not apply directly to surfaces contaminated with algae or mold; first clean with Silancolor Cleaner Plus and then treat with Silancolor Primer Plus.
• Always apply Silancolor Primer Plus before using Silancolor Paint Plus.
• Do not apply to damp or insufficiently cured substrates.
• Do not process at temperatures below +5°C or above +35°C. The surface must be dry and out of direct sunlight.
• Do not apply when relative humidity is above 85%.
• Do not apply during rain or strong wind.
