Application

Triblock P is suitable for treating damp substrates and is used in particular for:

• old ceramic or terrazzo floors on substrates with excessive residual moisture content;
• very dense cementitious substrates with residual moisture content above the recommended value for installing wood, elastic or resin floors;
• damp concrete surfaces in preparation for epoxy resin protections or vapor-tight polyurethane coatings;
• lining of channels, sewers and concrete pipes; and in a ratio of 1:0.5 mixed with Kwartz 0.25 or Kwartz 0.5 sand for leveling uneven surfaces.

Features

Triblock P is a three-component epoxy cement system that cures on damp, even smooth surfaces (such as ceramic, vitrified clay, terrazzo, marble) and forms a solid layer on which parquet, PVC, linoleum, ceramics, epoxy and polyurethane coatings and cementitious leveling coats can be applied. Developed by MAPEI, the product is ready to use, dilutable with water and can be mixed with Kwartz 0.25 or 0.5 sand to make a leveling mortar for reinforcing irregular concrete surfaces.

Consumption

• 250-300 g/m² per coat on non-absorbent substrates;
• 400-500 g/m² per coat on absorbent substrates;
• 1.5 kg/m² per mm layer thickness when used as a leveling layer.
