Application

Ultraplan Eco Xtra is intended for indoor use and is used for leveling and levelling layer thickness differences from 1 to 10 mm on both new and existing substrates. The product makes the substrate suitable for all types of floor coverings that must withstand heavy loads and intensive use. It is particularly suitable for floors with casters and for use on underfloor heating systems. Suitable for indoor use only.

Application examples:

• Leveling of concrete floors and cement screeds, as well as screeds based on Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem or Topcem Pronto.
• Leveling calcium sulfate-bonded screeds.
• Leveling floors with underfloor heating.
• Leveling of existing substrates such as concrete, terrazzo, ceramic and natural stone.
• Also suitable for asphalt, fixed chipboard, magnesite floors, etc.

Technical properties

Ultraplan Eco Xtra is a gray dry mortar based on special cement, selected silica sand, resins and additives, developed in the MAPEI R&D laboratories. After mixing with water, it produces a liquid, self-leveling mortar with excellent adhesion. The product is pumpable over distances of more than 100 meters and can be applied virtually shrink-free in layer thicknesses of up to 10 mm. After curing, it possesses high flexural and compressive strength and excellent abrasion resistance. The drying time depends on layer thickness, temperature, humidity and suction of the substrate. After drying, the floor covering can be applied.

1.6 kg/m² per mm layer thickness.

Prevent chance of cracking

To avoid cracking, it is important that the leveling layer not be applied tightly to the wall. Preferably apply the floor floating by first placing an edge strip. This elastic strip catches expansion and prevents cracks. In addition, the use of a primer under the leveling layer is strongly recommended.
