RUSTOL-OWATROL® is a low viscosity liquid product based on solvent-based alkyd resins and vegetable oil. It belongs to the type of oil varnish.
Owatrol Rustol
Owatrol Rustol is a colorless antirust agent that can be used both indoors and outdoors. It can be applied directly to rust or to a clean surface as a protective layer. Thanks to its high wetting power, it expels air and moisture, providing optimum protection for the surface. Want to preserve the rust color? Then apply Owatrol directly to the rust.
Versatile in use
At Epoxywinkel, Owatrol Rustol is available in 0.5 liters, 1 liter, 5 liters and 20 liters. It adheres to virtually all substrates such as wood, steel, copper, glass, plastic and cast iron. Sanding is not necessary and the oil dries quickly. If in doubt about the application, it is advisable to carry out a test first.
Owatrol oil 5 liters
The oil is available in four sizes. For small projects, a small package is sufficient, but it is wise to have extra on hand. With 1 liter you treat about 18 m². The larger the package, the cheaper the price per liter.
Retain rust color
First remove loose paint with a wire brush and degrease the surface. Thinning is not necessary. Apply Owatrol directly to the rust to maintain the decorative rust color. Ideal for fencing, flower pots or other garden decorations.
Mixing oatrol with paint
Owatrol can be mixed with paint to transfer its protective properties. Mix 25% Owatrol with 75% paint. Suitable for primer, stain or varnish. It improves adhesion and makes application easier.
Owatrol as a clear coat
Owatrol is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Outside it protects against rust, inside it is ideal for damp areas or decorative objects with rust color. This will keep your objects beautiful for a long time.
