Description and Application
UZIN NC 115 Fiber Reinforced Gypsum Equalization is a well-flowing smoothing compound based on alpha-semi hydrate, suitable as a substrate for bonding. Thanks to the special binder, this product is ideal for leveling substrates such as:
- Calcium sulfate bound floors
- Cementitious floors
- Wood floors
- Cast asphalt
- Particleboard and OSB
- Magnesite and wood magnesite floors
- Floors with underfloor heating
- Suitable for swivel and office chairs from 1 mm layer thickness (according to DIN EN 12529)
- Renovation floors with old glue residue
- For indoor use only
Starting from a layer thickness of 2 mm, a good absorbent substrate is created for bonding such things as:
- Carpet
- PVC and central heating
- Linoleum
- Limited suitability for polyolefin and rubber (seeking advice recommended)
Alternatives:
- UZIN NC 170 – standard plaster equalization
- UZIN NC 110 – for anhydrite-bound substrates
- UZIN NC 175 – alternative for wooden substrates
Components: special binders, mineral aggregates, redispersible dispersion powder, fibers and additives
Features / Product Benefits
- Excellent flow and pumpability
- Smooth end result
- Virtually stress-free
- Suitable from 2 mm layer thickness
- Calcium sulfate-bonded leveling
- EMICODE EC1 PLUS – very low emission
Substrate
The substrate must be pressure and shape resistant, permanently dry, clean and crack-free. Remove weak layers on calcium sulfate floors by e.g. steel brushing or sanding. Then vacuum and prime well. A good primer prevents rapid water absorption and promotes adhesion, prevents air bubbles and pinholes in the leveling layer.
Processing
- Pour about 4.5 liters of cold, clean water into a clean mixing vessel. Add the powder gradually and mix mechanically with a basket mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free mass is formed.
- Pour the mixture onto the substrate and spread with a smoothing trowel. Use a spiked roller immediately for optimal results. If possible, apply the desired layer thickness in one pass.
Consumption
Layer thickness (mm) | Consumption (approx.) | 20 kg bag for |
---|---|---|
2 mm | 3.0 kg/m² | approx. 6.5 m² |
5 mm | 7.5 kg/m² | approx. 2.5 m² |
10 mm | 15.0 kg/m² | approx. 1.3 m² |
Prevent Cracking
Do not apply the leveling layer tightly against the wall to prevent cracking. Use an edge strip to accommodate expansion. The use of a suitable primer under the leveling layer is also strongly recommended.
