Description and Application

UZIN NC 118 NEW is a quick-drying calcium sulfate-based repair and leveling compound, specially developed for leveling substrates prior to laying floor covering. Suitable for use on calcium sulfate and cast asphalt floors, among others, without limitation in layer thickness. Only applicable in permanently dry indoor areas. Thanks to its fast application time, this product is ideal for renovation projects where time is a crucial factor.

Applicable to substrates such as:

• Calcium sulfate floors (anhydrite)
• Plasterboard and gypsum fiber boards
• Chipboard (V100) and OSB boards
• Cast asphalt floors
• Renovation floors with old, waterproof adhesive residues
• Floors with underfloor heating
• Stairs
• Suitable for casters from 1 mm layer thickness (according to DIN EN 12 529)

UZIN NC 118 NEW is particularly suitable for:

• Filling old adhesive residues
• Applying thick leveling layers

When made with less water, a firm mortar is produced, suitable for:

• Leveling sloped floors

Prevent Cracking

To avoid cracks in the leveling layer, it is recommended to apply the floor floating. This can be done by placing an edge strip before leveling. This elastic strip absorbs expansion of the floor. In addition, the use of a suitable primer under the leveling layer is highly recommended.
