Application
Suitable for repairing damage to the polyester gelcoat, the colored outer layer of a polyester object. The underlying glass laminate may not be seriously damaged. The topcoat is applied, among other things, to the lower and upper water of a polyester yacht.
User Manual
- Sand the damaged surface and make sure it is dry, dust- and grease-free. Clean deep scratches well.
- Color the topcoat with Wilsor color pigment to the desired shade. Use up to 20% pigment relative to the topcoat to avoid weakening.
- Add about 2% MEK hardener to the topcoat and mix well. (35 drops from the MEK spray bottle equals about 1 gram).
- Apply the colored topcoat to the damaged gelcoat with a brush.
- Sand the cured topcoat first with coarse, then fine sandpaper and polish the surface to a smooth result.
