Mapecoat TNS Race Track is a colored coating based on acrylic dispersion with fast film formation, specially developed for protecting concrete and asphalt surfaces that are heavily loaded by pedestrians or vehicles.
Application
This coating is ideal for durable protection of floors in sports facilities such as stadiums and can withstand intensive use. The formula was developed in MAPEI’s R&D laboratories.
Examples of applications:
- Protection of concrete stands in sports stadiums.
- Marking and protection of asphalt on race tracks.
- Treatment of driveways, lanes and parking lots.
- Painting concrete components such as curbs on race tracks.
- Delineation of zones for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.
Technical properties
Mapecoat TNS Race Track has excellent mechanical properties and forms a film quickly. Thanks to the carefully selected fillers, the product is suitable for slip-resistant finishes on outdoor floors. The coating retains its roughness even in wet weather and is resistant to harmful substances such as oil, fuel and de-icing salts. It protects concrete from deterioration by CO₂ and moisture, extending its service life. Available in a variety of colors through the ColorMap system and tested for UV and weather resistance.
The rapid drying allows the surface to be walked on after only about 30 minutes (under favorable conditions).
Consumption
Approximately 0.2-0.4 kg/m². Dilutable with 5-10% water. Recommended application of two coats.
System Structure
1st coat: Mapecoat TNS Primer EPW
2nd & 3rd coats: Mapecoat TNS Race Track or Mapecoat TNS Easy Color
4th coat: Mapecoat TNS Protection
Apply
Apply Mapecoat TNS Race Track with a roller or HVLP sprayer. Use 1-2 coats with a drying time of 8-12 hours between coats. Protect the surface from rain during the initial drying phase to prevent adhesion problems.
