Application
Planitex Pro is an indoor application for filling and leveling unevenness in layer thicknesses from 1 to 15 mm on both new and existing substrates. It is suitable for almost all types of floor coverings in areas with intensive use, such as wheelchair loading and underfloor heating. Suitable for indoor use only. Suitable finishes include textiles, needle felt, PVC, designer flooring, rubber, linoleum, parquet, ceramic and natural stone.
Examples of applications:
- Leveling calcium sulfate screeds.
- Leveling concrete and cement screeds.
- Leveling heated floors.
- Suitable for tensile substrates such as poured asphalt, precast screeds, dry construction elements, chip and OSB boards, magnesite and stonewood floors.
- Leveling of existing terrazzo, ceramic and natural stone floors.
- Leveling of old substrates with well adhering, waterproof adhesive residues.
Technical properties
Planitex Pro is a white, dry mortar based on alpha-hemihydrate calcium sulfate, rapidly hydrating components, selected quartz sands, resins and special binders. After mixing with water, it produces a self-leveling, fast-curing putty with excellent flow and adhesion. Mechanically processable with standard mortar pumps over distances up to 100 m. Crack-free processable up to 15 mm layer thickness. For thicker layers (up to 50 mm) up to 30% quartz sand (0.4-0.8 mm) can be added. Drying time depends on layer thickness, temperature and substrate absorption.
Important instructions
- Do not add additional water after the beginning of curing.
- Do not add any other binders or fillers.
- Do not use in wet areas or outdoors.
- Do not apply to substrates with rising damp or excessive residual moisture.
- For multiple coats: apply only after the previous coat has dried and with intermediate primer.
- Do not apply to wood planks or without proper primer under rubber, PVC or linoleum.
- Do not process at temperatures below +15 °C.
- A minimum layer thickness of 3 mm is required under parquet.
- Do not apply in coats thicker than 10 mm on moisture-sensitive or unstable substrates without reaction resin primer.
Consumption
Approximately 1.5 kg/m² per mm layer thickness.
Prevent chance of cracking
To prevent cracking, floating application of the leveling layer is recommended. To do this, use an edge strip along the edges. This elastic strip absorbs expansion. In addition, the use of a primer under the leveling layer is strongly recommended.
