Description and Application
UZIN NC 182 is a firm, fast hydraulically binding and very finely workable cementitious levelling compound. Ideal as a substrate for installing floor coverings, particularly suitable for rapid renovations where a smooth surface is required.
Applicable to substrates such as:
- Cement screeds
- Wood granite
- Cast asphalt
- Concrete
- Wood
Suitable for filling and smoothing in various layer thicknesses, such as:
- Minimum film thickness over waterproof adhesive residues
- Thick layers (above 10 mm, mixed with coarse quartz sand)
When made with less water (stand-solid mortar) also suitable for:
- Slope corrections
- Sloping floors
- Stairs
Features / Product Benefits
- Very fast curing and drying
- Adjustable consistency
- Salty processing, not self-flowing
- Suitable for thin and thick layers
- Chromate arm
- EMICODE EC 1 R PLUS – very low emission
- RAL UZ 113 – environmentally friendly
Substrate / Primer
The substrate must be pressure and shape resistant, permanently dry, clean and crack-free. Use the appropriate primer for each substrate:
Advice for primers:
- Cement screed, concrete (with adhesive residues): UZIN PE 360 PLUS or UZIN PE 375
- Moist cement-bound substrates: UZIN PE 400 or UZIN PE 460
- Wood, chipboard: UZIN PE 630
- Magnesite, terrazzo, granito, ceramic, dense concrete floors, plastic: UZIN PE 280
- Poured asphalt: UZIN PE 280 or UZIN PE 360 PLUS
Wait to level until the primer is completely dry.
Consumption
Layer thickness | Consumption (approx.) | 20 kg bag for |
---|---|---|
1 mm | 1.5 kg/m² | approx. 14 m² |
3 mm | 4.5 kg/m² | approx. 5 m² |
6 mm | 9.0 kg/m² | approx. 2 m² |
9 mm | 13.5 kg/m² | approx. 1.5 m² |
Processing
Mix 5 – 6.5 liters of clean, cold water per 20 kg of powder, depending on the desired consistency. Pour the water into a mixing vessel and add the powder while stirring. Mix with an electric basket mixer until homogeneous, lump-free. Process within 10 minutes. Apply to the substrate and finish with a smoothing trowel. For layer thicknesses above 10 mm: supplement with 50% quartz sand (0.3-0.8 mm), approx. 8-12 kg sand per 20 kg powder.
Preventing cracking
Avoid cracks by not applying the leveling layer tightly to the wall. Use an edge strip to accommodate expansion. Using a suitable primer under the leveling layer is also essential.
