Technical properties
Mapegum WPS is a ready-to-use, solvent-free, one-component gray paste based on synthetic resin in aqueous dispersion. Its thixotropic consistency makes it easy to apply to horizontal, inclined and vertical surfaces. After rapid drying, it forms a non-adhesive, elastic layer that is lightly walkable and provides an excellent substrate for bonding ceramics, marble and natural stone. Its elasticity makes it resistant to normal expansion and contraction of the substrate due to temperature changes and vibrations. It acts as a crack-bridging membrane on substrates with hairline cracks (< 1 mm). Resistant to water, calcareous water (pH > 12), chlorinated water and common household cleaners.
Consumption
Approximately 1.5 kg/m² per mm layer thickness.
