Mapei Mapefloor Finish 52W

Application

Mapefloor Finish 52 W is designed as a transparent, semi-matt and abrasion-resistant protective coating for epoxy resin products such as Mapefloor I 300 SL and Mapefloor I 500 W. It also serves as a primer for Mapefloor Finish 58 W on cementitious systems such as Ultratop, Ultratop Living and Ultratop Loft. In addition, it is suitable as a dust and oil repellent treatment for concrete floors without giving the surface a wet appearance. Thanks to its good penetration into cement-bound substrates, it can also be used to protect concrete structures that are subject to light chemical stress.

Application examples:

• Transparent finish on resin floors such as Mapefloor System 53 and Mapefloor System 33.
• Primer for Mapefloor Finish 58 W on Ultratop, Ultratop Living or Ultratop Loft substrates.
• Dust-resistant treatment of new and existing lightly loaded industrial concrete floors.
• Transparent protective coating for concrete structures with light chemical exposure.

Technical properties

Mapefloor Finish 52 W is a solvent-free, two-component water-based polyurethane finish product, slightly yellowing, developed in the MAPEI laboratories. After drying, it barely changes the color of the treated surface, which is important for maintaining the original appearance. The product is applied by roller or airless spray in layer thicknesses of 60 to 100 microns. On absorbent cement-bound substrates, it provides even suction prior to finishing with Mapefloor Finish 58 W.

Important

• Do not apply to dusty, friable or inconsistent substrates.
• Do not apply to wet surfaces or areas with oil or grease stains.
• Light white streaks may appear on dark, non-cement-bound substrates; prior testing is recommended.

Consumption

50-150 g/m² per coat, depending on the substrate.
