Mapei Eco Prim T plus

Application

Universal primer that improves the adhesion of leveling compounds on both absorbent and non-absorbent indoor substrates.

Application examples:

• Pretreatment of very dense and smooth cement plasters and concrete floors before MAPEI leveling compounds are applied.
• Pretreatment of surfaces with adhesive residues or old, well adhering smoothing coats before applying cement adhesive.
• Pretreatment of gypsum, anhydrite, wood, plywood, chipboard, terrazzo, ceramic or natural stone prior to application of cement adhesive.

Technical properties

Eco Prim T is a ready-to-use, white-colored, water-based acrylic primer with excellent adhesion, water resistance and aging resistance. The product is easy to apply by brush or roller, is non-flammable and has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (EMICODE EC1 Plus). Meets ASTM D 1308 and is resistant to urine.

Key points of interest:

• Suitable for interior floors only.
• Use Primer EP or Mapeprim SP on magnesite substrates.
• Apply only to moisture-resistant wood.
• Do not use on substrates with rising damp.

Application of primer

Apply Eco Prim T with a brush or roller. Dilute 1:2 with water for cement or anhydrite substrates. Use undiluted on old ceramic tiles, natural stone, wood or adhesive residues (if water-resistant). After complete drying (2 to 5 hours, depending on temperature and humidity), a leveling compound or mortar can be applied. Do not wait longer than 24 hours.

Consumption

Consumption is between 0.10 and 0.20 kg/m², depending on substrate suction and application method.
