Application

• Fast bonding indoors and outdoors of virtually all types and sizes of ceramic tiles (single and double fired, porcelain, clinker, terracotta, etc.) on uneven substrates and plaster, without prior leveling, in layer thicknesses up to 15 mm.
• Bonding indoors and outdoors of non-moisture-sensitive natural stone; indoors also suitable for composite stone.
• Bonding of thin porcelain tiles to floors, walls and facades.
• Indoor application on existing, well adhering ceramic and stone floors for the application of ceramic and natural stone.
• Suitable for thick, large ceramic and natural stone tiles and slabs.
• Spot bonding of insulation materials indoors, such as polystyrene foam, rock and glass wool, Eraclit®, sound absorbing boards, cork, etc.

Examples of applications

• Repair work in high-traffic areas where quick commissioning is required, such as public buildings, restaurants, supermarkets, showrooms and walkways.
• Quick installation or repair in swimming pools, factories (such as breweries, wine cellars, dairies) and cold rooms.
• Quick renovations in bathrooms, showers, kitchens, balconies and terraces.
• Bonding on non-absorbent existing floors where traditional cement adhesives are too slow.
• Bonding of marble and other natural stone, including light colors.
• Application to heated screeds.
• Bonding on waterproof substrates treated with Mapelastic or Mapegum WPS products.

Technical properties

Keraquick Maxi S1 is a white or gray powder based on special cements, selected aggregates, synthetic resins and accelerators. Within 2-3 hours of application, a high bond strength is created, making floors and walls quickly usable. Floors are loadable after 24 hours and walkable after only 3 hours. After mixing with water, a mortar is produced with the following characteristics:

• Extended open time;
• Low viscosity, easy to apply;
• Prevents sagging of heavy or large format tiles with thick adhesive layers;
• High thixotropicity;
• Suitable for vertical applications without dripping or sliding off tiles, even with large and heavy tiles; placement possible from top to bottom without joint crosses;
• Compensates for substrate and tile deformations; meets S1 class (transverse deformation > 2.5 mm according to EN 12004);
• White variety has high whiteness.

When mixed with Latex Plus, the formability improves and the product meets class C2F S2 (fast-binding, highly deformable improved cement adhesive) according to EN 12004. The environmental impact has been assessed via the LCA method and recorded in an EPD (No. S-P-01108), certified by EPD International. Keraquick Maxi S1 has very low VOC emissions (EC1 R PLUS certified by GEV) and is safe for users and occupants. Contains 5% recycled materials and contributes 2 LEED points.
