Pour directly into a silicone or latex mold. If using a mold of other material, first smear with release wax.
Mix the two components at a ratio of 1 to 1 by volume. Once both components are well mixed, the resin can be poured.
Polyurethane resin versus Polyester resin
Advantages of polyurethane resin over polyester resin:
- No shrinkage
- Good adhesion
- Less heat generation
Disadvantage of polyurethane resin over polyester resin:
- Weaker
Specifications
- Pot life: 15 minutes at 20°C
- Demoulding: after 2 hours at 20°C
- Fully cured: after 24 hours at 20°C
- Color: brown
- Mixing ratio (volume): 1 to 1 (hardener/resin)
- Mixing ratio (weight): 1.12 to 1 (resin/hardener)
